Four days in New York City

Updated: 3 days ago

Welcome to the Big Apple! If you're wondering where to start or what comes next in planning your trip, don't worry, I've got you covered. Here's a day-by-day New York itinerary, designed to minimize your travel time and energy by grouping nearby NYC attractions together. This way, you won't exhaust yourself walking around the city blocks!

Contents

I would like to add the list here day by day so you can have the list of locations which is close to each other. I will not add all the locations here in this list however you can check my full list of New York city places to visit in this page.

Day 1 - Midtown and Times Square

I would like to start with a mid town and times square it is the one of first location you need to see when you visit NYC.

  • Empire State building

  • Times square

  • Bryant park

  • Grand Central Terminal

  • SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

  • Rockefeller Center

  • St. Thomas Church: Located on 5th Avenue near Rockefeller Center, this church is absolutely worth a visit. I highly recommend going inside—it's truly beautiful.

  • Radio City Music Hall

Please note, I personally love to visit SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, there are numerous other skyscrapers like top of the rock observation deck or Empire State in NYC that you might find equally captivating. For a list of popular skyscrapers in NYC that you might want to explore, feel free to visit my SkyScrapers page.

Day 2 - Financial district and Wall street

This day I would like to visit to the lower manhattan. One world trade center and financial district.

  • 9/11 Memorial & Museum

  • Oculus World Trade Center

  • Brookfield Place

  • The Battery park

  • Statue of Liberty

  • Charging Bull

  • New York Stock Exchange

  • The Fearless Girl

Last three locations are really close to each other. When you return from the statue of liberty you can walk couple blocks to the charging bull and same for the Stock Exchange.

  • SoHo:

    • Ladurée

    • MarieBelle

    • Sant Ambroeus Lafayette

    • walk around the cobblestones of the soho

Day 4 - Mid town and Central park

This is my last full day in NYC, and there are a couple of must-visit locations on my list. Of course, I can’t forget about Central Park—it's one of the most beautiful spots in the city. I plan to take a leisurely stroll through its winding paths and enjoy the vibrant fall colors. It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to this amazing city.

  • Vessel: After visiting the Vessel, you can also explore the High Line from Vessel to Chelsea Market. It’s an elevated park above street level where you can enjoy a scenic walk all the way to Chelsea, NYC.

  • Flatiron building

  • Central park

    • Bethesda Terrace

    • Cherry Hill

    • Belvedere Castle

    • Gapstow Bridge

  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art

You can visit my New York City page for the full list of sights to see. I didn’t include all the locations here because they wouldn’t fit into just four days. However, you can check that page for additional places to explore. I’ve also added a few recommended restaurants and cafes at the end of that page, so you can enjoy some great meals while you’re out and about. Don’t miss the chance to experience the local flavors!

Of course, there are countless locations to visit in NYC, but I feel like our itinerary might be a bit too ambitious. We’re looking at more than 20,000 steps each day! If you have the time for 5 or 6 days, that would be ideal. This way, you can explore at a more leisurely pace and save some attractions for another day. Plus, it would allow you to truly soak in the atmosphere of each neighborhood without feeling rushed. Enjoy THE city.
